Beauty Queen of Leenane is both hilariously funny and full of pathos.

It’s the story of 2 women; a mother and daughter and the relationship between them that slowly breaks down and consumes both with a hate that would break teeth.

It’s a story that shows that the line between sanity and madness is a very very small step.  A story of love, affection and an all consuming animosity that will eventually if not stopped, lead to the inevitable explosion of rage that will consume all who are near.

A great play but one that demands an audience pays attention.

With Beauty Queen of Leenane director Brian Keegan completes Martin McDonagh’s trilogy having previously presented  “Lonesome West” & “A Skull in Connemara” with Shoreside Theatre.
